Dry Eye is one of the most common pathologies in Ophthalmology, with an estimated 14 to 33% of the world's population suffering from this disease; It's one of the leading causes of consultation in Ophthalmology.
This new treatment, through the application of pulsed light, stimulates the better functioning of the Meibomius Glands, these glands are responsible for producing the lipid component that strengthens the quality of the tear which covers the outer surface of the eye. The dysfunction of these glands, leads to the production of a natural tear with poor evaporation resistance, giving rise to the typical symptoms of sting, dryness, frequent tearing, red eye and burning, as well as fluctuating vision and even eye inflammation.
